JOIN THE PARTY

VOLVO OCEAN RACE GOTHENBURG 14-21 JUNE 2018 – FREE ADMISSION EVERY DAY!

Gothenburg has the great honour of welcoming competitors in the Volvo Ocean Race to the penultimate stopover of the 2017-18 edition of the Race. The boats are expected to arrive around the 14-15 June and on the 21 June the boats will continue towards the finish in The Hague after sailing 45,000 nautical miles around the planet.

Gothenburg will be hosting a big party, with free entrance and everyone can  join in the celebrations. The festivities will involve an In-Port Race and a leg start close to the Gothenburg harbour, giving everyone a ringside view of the penultimate sprint. The party will continue in the Race Village in Frihamnen, the heart of Gothenburg harbour, where the Volvo Ocean 65 boats will berth.

The event will have something for everyone: giant screens with live broadcasts of the Pro-Am Race and In-Port Race, stage entertainment, exhibitions, restaurants, bars, a large market place and opportunities to try out various activities. You can get here easily by foot, bike or public transport. The Race Village will be open every day from 14 to 21 June. Welcome!
